You must be the Breeder of the Lamb and register it within the calendar year during which is was born. Ex: date of birth: 10/27/2024, must be registered by Dec 31, 2024.
You must be a current HSSR member to register lambs. If you are not current on your membership, complete a Membership form also.
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS / TIPS
Two full body photos (one of each side) are required. Lambs should be presented as close to 90 degrees from your camera lens.
Avoid distracting backgrounds: no other sheep in the shot. Full body means we can see the tip of the nose to the tip of the rump/tail, and from the top of the head to bottom of the hooves.
Use HIGH RESOLUTION setting on your phone or camera and set to BURST or CONTINUOUS for at least 10 rapid shots so you have a few to choose from. Ideally, but the lamb in a confined area like a stall, and get in there with them. If you stay to one corner, it is much easier to capture both sides.
We do not accept pictures of a lamb being held. NO headshots showing a readable tag are required.
